Mile High Vineyard Testimonial Video

 
 

Project OVERVIEW

Create a four to five minute video centered on the church-wide implementation of Alpha at Mile High Vineyard church in Denver, CO. The video will feature three perspectives from Mile High Vineyard: head pastor Jay Pathak, Alpha facilitator Jerry, and the perspective of an Alpha guest. This video’s audience will hear why church leadership decided to run Alpha church-wide, what it looks like to run Alpha as a church body, and a story of transformation from a guest.

ideal PRODUCTION/SHOOTING SCHEDULE

  • Early to mid-November

  • Saturday – Arrive in Denver

  • Sunday – Shoot b-roll of church services where Pastor Jay will be teaching/attending, additional b-roll of Jerry and our Alpha guest as a part of the service, and any other b-roll relevant to our stories. Scout locations for each of our interviews. If needed, can conduct some of the needed interviews this day, though Monday will be ideal.

  • Monday – Shoot interviews with our three interviewees at the church building. If possible, have each interview in a different location. Each interview setup usually requires about 45-60 minutes, so stagger interview times accordingly. Gather any video clips and photos of previous Alpha sessions, especially specific to each of our three interviewees.

  • Tuesday – Assuming Alpha sessions are held in the evening, spend the first part of the day gathering location b-roll of church, city, other relevant locations. If needed/relevant, can shoot interviewees on their way to Alpha session, setting up for Alpha, etc. Shoot Alpha session(s) as they are being held with specific focus on Jerry as facilitator, and our Alpha guest.

  • Wednesday – Leave Denver

Estimated budget

  • PreProduction (Planning) and Production (Shooting) – $2550

    • If more shooting days are needed, this may change.

  • PostProduction (Editing and Revisions) – $1250

    • Initial edit will be submitted for feedback, followed by two rounds of revisions. If more revisions are needed, there will be added expense.

  • Lodging and Transportation – $1300

    • This can be reduced if transportation and lodging in Denver area is made available.

  • Total – Approximately $5100

Project process

  • Pre-production

    • Develop overall story structure and direction through conversation with Alpha Colorado team members and pre-interviews with our Mile High Vineyard interviewees.

    • Confirm Alpha’s testimonial video visual language and/or style guide, receiving logos and typefaces for use in post-production.

    • Schedule shoot-times for interviewees and b-roll segments.

    • Create shot lists and/or storyboards which can be submitted for approval.

  • Production

    • Preview interview locations at least one day before shooting interviews.

    • Conduct three interviews.

    • Shoot relevant b-roll.

  • PostProduction

    • First edit will be submitted for approval within three weeks of final day of shooting.

    • First round of revisions will be completed within one week of receiving all initial feedback.

    • If needed, second round of revisions will be completed within one week of receiving all feedback.

    • Completed project deadline – December 31
